Robert J. Nealy, MD graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, and then completed a Rotating Internship at The Medical Center in Columbus, GA. After 3 years in the US Army in Japan and Vietnam, he practiced Family Medicine at Mease Hospital and Clinic in Dunedin, FL and was Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Nealy subsequently completed an Ob/Gyn residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, FL and was certified by the American Board of Ob/Gyn and a Fellow of the American College of Ob/Gyn. He practiced gynecology in Gainesville, GA at Northeast Georgia Medical Center until 2000. Afterwards, he assisted in vascular, neuro, bariatric, thoracic, gynecological and general surgery for 5 years.
In his career he has served on medical records, risk management, utilization review and executive committees, and was the medical staff president twice at Mease Hospital. Dr. Nealy has worked as a physician documentation coach for 5 years, including two years with the CliniNotes™ Program at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
